I don't think dextrin as a main ingredient is keto friendly

I tried these and I liked them but I'm confused how they can be keto friendly if they contain dextrin. Isn't dextrin considered a sugar right next to glucose on the glycemic index?? Please explain to me that I'm wrong. I don't want to give this any stars if it's got something in it that acts on my body just like sugar.

The types of dextrin out there can be confusing, so I can totally understand how it would be difficult to tell them apart. We use resistant dextrin, which is a prebiotic fiber made out of the husks of corn. This fiber has been proven in studies to help control glycemic levels because it cannot be absorbed by the body. This is usually confused with maltodextrin, which is a starch that behaves like sugar in the body. We do not use maltodextrin, nor will we ever. Our NON-GMO resistant dextrin is fibrous, not a starch. If you'd like to learn more, we have an article in the blogs section of our site that really gets into the nitty gritty of it.
