When the Jolies cookies first arrived on the scene, we heard one resounding request: more chocolate. As a chocolate company, how could we possibly say no? Of course, it was not something we could do overnight. Anyone who works in food production knows there is always a little bit of waste. This usually comes in the form of crumbs, which we repurpose in some of our spreads like our gluten free speculoos. In the case of the Jolies, we also lose chocolate filling! We discovered that simply adding more chocolate could create far too much waste, sometimes up to fifty percent, so we worried it was not possible to change the recipe.
But we refused to give up.
Our CEO Michael has worked on this for the past year and has successfully found a way to add more chocolate to our Jolies cookies. He spent this time flying around the world to secure the machine part needed for this delicious upgrade. That is how much your feedback means to us as a company and how seriously we take our promise to always strive for excellence for you.
Thanks to this redesigned part, we can now double the chocolate inside every box. You will find two fewer cookies total, but the overall weight will remain the same. The difference comes from extra chocolate, which is more expensive than the cookie layers alone. This upgrade costs us seventy-nine cents more to make, but we are keeping the price exactly the same. More chocolate at the same cost means a better foodie experience waiting for you.
